    Train Table ?

Does anyone have one they LOVE and can recommend?? I hate to spend the $ to end up getting a cheap table and or train set that wont hold up to my littles...

This is the one I am leaning the most to but would prefer wood:

I LOVE this one....but feel the little guys might destroy it in a day?!

I have both the Step 2 table that you posted as well as a wooden train table. (I'm not sure of the brand- I got it really cheap at a tag sale) I, personally, like the wooden table because it is much more solid and won't move when the kids lean against it, even on a wood floor. It is also sturdy enough that if they were to climb on it (I let my youngest ds sit on it to play) it won't break.

The plastic one slides all over the place and also has plastic ramps that could break with too much pressure if they were being careless or too rough with it. It is a nice table if you don't have space for a regular table because it does come with a cover that definitely comes in handy for blocks or whatever. I just recommend putting it on a rug or non-slip surface because it will tend to walk all over the place.

Both of my tables really don't seem to get that much use though. I'm definitely going to be attaching the track to my wooden table when I finish remodeling my space. I have found that they LOVE to play with the trains only while the track is set up. Once they take them apart the table becomes a catch-all for miscellaneous train parts and never gets used.

My dck are the same way. They only play with the train table if its set up and it only takes a few minutes of play for them to deconstruct it! I would choose whatever table that you can use for another purpose. On our train table one side is the train table the other side is covered with Lego boards so they can use it for two things. I've considered buying a piece of plexiglass big enough to cover it so I can take the Lego/train top off and use it as a light table. I need to figure out the specifics though because I really would like to attach the train tracks to it so they will be used.

I have the step 2 one. For the price it really can't be beat.
Mine is on carpet so I don't have trouble with it sliding-but I could definitely see that being a problem on wood or tile.
I've had mine for quite a while and it's held up surprisingly well.
I love the cover so it can be multipurposed and also love this fact that "hot wheels" type cars also fit on the tracks.

I went with this one because of price and its smaller size.

I have the second one you posted and it sits in my basement. A neighbor who was moving "gifted" it to us. No directions so its never been properly put together. I really don't care for it and am getting rid of it as soon as I can. The kids are constantly trying to climb on it and take it apart.
I'm convinced its yet another one of those toys that are geared for adults NOT kids

I found a table similar to those that was super cheap and made it into a train table by screwing the pieces down. Very inexpensive!
