I have an entire house. One central room (kitchen/dining room) and 2 bedrooms and a living room off that main room. Oh, I also have a bathroom.
I have not one single piece of adult sized furniture in the house. Everything is kid size. One room is set up for infants/toddlers only and the rest of the house is....well full of kid stuff.
I am on a corner lot (2 city lots) and have a fenced in yard with a large 14x14 sandbox, a swing set and lots of ride on toys and climbers. We also have a large extra wide curvy sidewalk.
I have a couple shade trees (a maple & an oak) in the front yard and a buckeye tree for climbing, some lilac trees in the side yard and the back yard is wide open, grassy and sunny.
We also just built a new deck on the front of the house. My DH put plexi-glass sides on it instead of your normal deck spindles because I am 3 blocks from the bus garage so I open the front door and let the littles outside so they can watch the busses through the glass. They LOVE it!- Flag

Here are some older ones from 2010. https://www.daycare.com/forum/showthread.php?t=24391
I've changed a lot of things since then....
No more TV
Art supplies are out and available at all times
ALL battery operated toys and those with lights and/or sounds are gone.
Basically, the rooms haven't changed but the way in which they are set up has.
I will try to take some new pictures this afternoon and post them.- Flag

I am a member but logged out-
My space was built onto my home after doing daycare in my home.
When you come in, your in my main room. I am all open and have a bathroom. I remind myself of what a one room school house would be like back in the olden days. I like it, I can see everything. I sort space out with toy shelves and gates. I have an office space, a small kitchen and the bathroom is off my kitchen with a door. The only room within my room. My space is like a basement space that is upstairs instead of in the basement and has more windows. I am on a busy street and I have a huge fenced in play area along with my homes back yard area. I love the feeling of coming to work but also being a door away from my own home. Nap time can be tricky but I make it work. Stairs are not fun to go outside but again I make it work. We have an in-law apartment below us. I love my set up and we built it ourselves. The only thing I wish that I had was an entrance, waiting area-mud room type thing. When you open the door your in the daycare.- Flag

We live in an old farmhouse that was built in 1900 but is located in the city. All the houses that are in our neighborhood were built in the 1970's. My setup is spread out throughout the house. The parents walk in the side door which is off the kitchen into the main daycare room. This is where the cubbies and parent board are located. I also have the circle time area, tables for eating and art, easel, and reading loft. The rest of the house is set up like a home (no toys) except for the playroom. The playroom is a good sized bedroom with a half bath at the back of the house. This is where the kids play and nap. There is a closet in that room where I store extra toys etc... The half bath is also for the daycare kids (they dont use the family bathroom). I dont have a "tour" on my website, but you can see from some of the pictures what it looks like. The outside is on a little less than an acre with lots of trees.

Mine is in the home we live in. The Play Room is where the toys live; we use the Dining Room for eating, art, and there are some puzzles, manipulatives and table toys in there. The Living Room is used for infant naps and if we ever watch TV, which we haven't done for 18 mos now.
I finally got the floor plan to attach - whew!Attached Files- Flag

My set up is one big family room. We have a couch and TV on one side that we use as a family and the rest is daycare space. I have a table with little chairs for the littles to eat at and a round table with cushions for the older ones. I have several shelves with puzzles and games as well as cabinets for toy storage. We have a bulletin board for artwork and memos and each child has a hanging folder with their name on it.
I have several sections set up - Dolls, kitchen, playfood, little store, dressup
Cars and trucks with a road mat.
Puzzles, games and art supplies.
Train table and lego table.
Work station with tool bench and tools.
The kids each have a hook in the entrance with their name on it upstairs beside the door but we don't go upstairs during daycare hours unless we are heading outside. I find it helps me feel more in control since the upstairs stays clean and becomes a sanctuary for me when all the kids leave- Flag
