    Best Summer Activity Ever!

I got a great idea from the Happy Hooligans blog this morning and jumped right in today with it because it is so easy!

I gathered up bowls, wooden spoons, an ice cream bucket, and covered a cinnamon container and a plastic salt shaker's holes with electrical tape so they could "season" the soup. I have two flowering bushes in my yard right now.

The idea is to set up a fresh flower soup station! The kids happily mixed, poured, stirred and seasoned bowls of flower soup for an hour or better!
I filled the bucket with water and had small containers to scoop the water out and then into the bowls/soup pots!

I don't know how to link in some of the photos from my I-pad or I would! I got some great shots of some VERY engaged children...ages 1 1/2 to almost five yrs. A great activity for all ages!

    Try it, you'll like it!

Great idea! My kids have been making "soup" outside in their buckets with water, dirt, chalk and leaves lately. I ought to get some cheap kitchen utensils or some from my drawers I don't use and put it out there for their "soup."
