Going Away Party For 4 Kids With Bad Behavior??

I'm losing 4 kids in 8 days. 1 is a baby, 2 are 2.5 yr olds, 1 is 4 and hates talking to me.

Their behavior has been really horrible lately. The baby follows me and cries ALL day, the 2,5 yr olds hit, punch, bite, kick, pull hair, throw toys, push and shove, and scream and cry at each other every 10 min, every day. The moms are best friends so they are with each other a lot. And the 4 yr old is an only child and she does not know how to be nice to anyone.

Im glad they are all leaving, cause im tired and done with this day after day.

So with all this, the only down side is that im broke. The up side is that I will have a quiet summer and I can spend more time with my kids, which is what they want.

Would you do anything or just say your goodbye's?

Maybe a group picture and/or cake for the kids, and a nice glass of wine after-hours for you! You made it!!!happyface

I wouldn't do much, either. Bake muffins the last day or something. Wish them well, shut the door, and hit the booze...

If a family is leaving on good terms (aging out/moving), we'll do a little good-bye party.
If a family is being termed or I helped them term themselves, we do not have a celebration. I WILL still celebrate their birthday if it is during those final 2 weeks, though, but that's as much celebrating as I can do. ::

I would just give them a big hug when it's time to go and wish them well in a very upbeat way. That's a gift from a provider who is burnt out on that child's bad behavior.

I dont care why a family leaves. Good or bad. At this age, most of the time it is because of the parents fault, not the kids.

MOST Kids are bad, because they are not given guidance and direction at home. ( I did say most)

I don't feel that it is fair to make the children accountable for their parents actions or lack of.

Unless I was terming on the spot right then and there, I would to do a party. Otherwise, to be fair to everyone, everyone gets a party, a partying gift of pictures from the time they spent with me and we make a card......

If they're as bad as you say, it seems to me that a party would be in order AFTER they leave!

I don't do parties for kids that are leaving. I just tell the child "Good-bye" and move on.
