For The Waldorf Types Out There, The Best Place For Wicker/Natural/Woven Baskets...

    Church rummage sales!

I've been hunting for any kind of natural or woven basket for toy storage for my daycare. Just one basket goes for $20+ at Target, and can still be $12 at TJ Maxx or Michael's.

Recently, two big churches had rummage sales in my city, and there were HUGE wicker basket sections at both sales! 50 cents a basket. Really good quality.

It makes sense... Easter baskets, Moses baskets, bread baskets, the church-going type really use a lot of baskets!

Garage Sales/Thrift stores are where I get all my natural baskets for my childcare. Thats all I use for storing toys. I look for older ones also because they last a long time/better quality. I have some from my childhood 30+ years ago and they are still going strong!

Goodwill always has a ton for a buck or two.

I have gotten those nice mini version of old fashioned laundry baskets at Wal-mart. They are somewhat oval and light colored, they are heavy duty and hold up well. Not sure if they are $3.00 or a little more. They are a nice size.

Definitely thrift shops, although I've decimated their stock so I'll have to watch for church rummage sales.

One of my DCK's grandmas has brought me a ton of baskets too.
