    Whatcha Doin'?

Today is my Friday happyface and we have a nasty severe weather system moving in this evening/overnight . So I'm cleaning before my vacation and cleaning in case of a power outage. I also am going to pull together some kind of father's day gift/craft this afternoon. Plus, making sure flashlights and batteries and things of that nature are ready...just in case.

I have sponges to add to the water play so they are going to do that while I clean up the yard and secure things. Then figure out and do the Father's Day thing. And all the laundry...

What are ya'll up to today?

also cleaning because we are expecting the same storm. I will need to go outside and put some stuff away. The kids just want to cry today so it will be an early nap.

HA! I totally forgot about fathers day! Back to the store for me tonight, ugh!

I hope the storm doesn't hit you too bad and you get everything done beforehand and get to relax!

We are forecasted to get hit pretty hard, north of I-70

Hopefully they are wrong and I have a clean basement

Its chilly and foggy here. We are going to farmers market. (We go each week and try to find a new food to eat or we get our favorite fresh picked strawberries) Then home and play board games.

All of you who are expecting the storm stay safe!

Well my outside is pretty clean. I had to clean out the workshop in order to put all the toys away, thanks DH. But the kids had a blast with water, sponges, and spray bottles. I just have to pop out during nap and put stuff in the trash and recycling and bring in the cooler (in case of extended power outage...or if I see something really nasty coming straight at us I will probably grab some cold food and toss it in the cooler just in case).

I also have to try and tidy up more in the basement. With only two nappers, the nap room has gotten a bit...cluttered...as I clean and rearrange. That's our safest room, too.

wahmof3, that's what I'm hoping for, too! We're also north of I-70, albeit by just a few miles. BUT that puts us on the southern edge of the greatest threat area, and southern edge is where tornadoes are most likely to develop, so that actually makes me MORE nervous.

I'm sure we'll all be safe, and it will be fine.

But it is really freaking humid out there...which is another risk factor...

I'm just glad that everyone leaves by 5:30, 6 at the lastest, and our greatest threat isn't until much later.

We aren't getting the same crazy storm you are, so I am just doing my regular stuff. My family is going away for the weekend, so excited! We are gong to Story Land and Santa's Village, both in northern New Hampshire. I am cleaning my daycare space, getting ready to shut it down a week from Friday!

Stay safe in the storms, everyone!!!

We are anticipating the same storm so I'm in prep mode, cleaning, laundry, securing outside toys/chairs. I sent hubby out to get a generator and fuel just in case. Last storm we lost 2 freezers full of food and I just cannot do that again!
Hope everyone affected by this storm stays safe, charge those cell phones just in case all!

I didn't have any DCKs today (it's my one little girl's last week of being a part-timer, next week she starts full-time, and my other little boy is only here 2x's a week), so I took my own DD and DS to the splash pad this morning. It was only 70 degrees, but they didn't care. So much fun! Almost wishing I did transportation with DC so that we could do that once a week this summer. Oh well.

ETA: We are also expecting some crazy storms here ... they might only hit south of us, but there's potential for us to get some nasty stuff, too. Should be fun.

Only 2 DCKs today and it is one's last day this week so we are doing Father's Day crafting early for the ones here. The other 2 DCKs will do theirs Saturday. Other than that it is a pretty easy day since my 2 rambunctious ones are out today.

Enjoying our little bit of sunshine....it's been awhile so it is VERY much welcomed!

Super quiet day today. DH's birthday was last night so it was a long evening. Both my own children came home to celebrate so we enjoyed a bonfire and some good conversation around the fire with family and friends.

The Reading Machine (mobile craft/library) came to daycare today so my older kids spent the afternoon outside with them. The littles are napping still.

Had a meeting this morning with my coordinator for my state's QRIS program.

Taking advantage of the quiet afternoon and sorting through my "school year" stuff and my summer stuff.

Looking forward to a long weekend as I am off on Friday.

I'm done early today - woo hoo! I should be taking boxes back up to the attic or cleaning up the basement family room for the band students who are staying down there tonight, but I'm hanging around here instead.

Trying to get adjusted to new dcg and desperately trying to fill my open spot!

And texting one dcm to get over here with her new tuition payment in cash and the fee my bank charged me for her bounced check.
