First surprise inspection...

.... And everything was good! Of course my licensing rep/supervisor came as soon as I laid the boys down for naps, but one of them didn't even bat an eye and slept through it, while the other is going down now. All my paperwork was in order and I only need a few more training hours for the term. happyface Was also happy to see my licensing rep because she has been out on medical leave for over 2 months! So glad she is back to work because she really is great and we missed her! Any way, just had to share because I'm tickled it went well (even though there was still a mess from lunch out).

Do they look at paperwork fro past kids? I have a past child.., I the was on the parent to complete certain forms & she never did. She is gone now, but I worry about the incomplete past forms. Do I worry about this?

She only looked at the children that I currently have enrolled, but I do still keep a complete file on all that kids that have previously been in care, just in case and for my records. Just make sure everything is up to date for the kids you have atm

Congratulations! My inspections have gone well, but always occur at crazy times. Once, the doorbell rang immediately after a kid accidently spilled an entire gallon of milk all over 2 kids and the floor=inspector. Once, the doorbell rang while I was dealing with an explosive potty training accident and as I opened the door another kid threw up=inspector. I hate to think what will happen this year::

And you've already had an inspection? I only have them yearly....I wonder why the difference..hmm

Maryland does every 6 months-ish, at least in Talbot county...Or maybe thats just for the first year..

hmmm.. regs say once a year.... Interesting, I know my rep said the same....who knows I guess!!
