UGH Is There A Full Moon Vent..

So this morning, one dck comes in with a ly. at 7am. REALLY..

I immediatley take it and give it to mom. Kid screams and I tell mom, I don't do it to you, don't do it to me. Another family is behind them standing with jaws dropped.

Ok....

Now the family behind them hands me a packet of stickers and dcd says dcm wants you to go a sticker chart for Walt Disney World, if DCG misbehaves, she can't go with us when we go later this summer.. WHHHAAATTTT.


So now it 7am and I am already spinning in my mind.

Our sprinkler system back up and caused major flooding in my backyard so no outside playtime out there today.

Now I get to spend lunch time emailing the sticker family to tell DCM sorry I won't do that here. I will not be responsible for the child earning or not earing a trip that you are taking them on, you need to do this at home.

am I wrong for telling them this....

Oh and I just had one of my best clients tell me, not ask me that their child will be here until 8pm tomorrow...Um NO.... I won't be here at that time sorry can't help you out. Especially when you don't ask......

It must be a full moon (my parents were nuts today, too)! Telling you that their kid will be picked up at 8PM? Classic. I can't imagine. I suppose, though, that they just imagine that you sit at home 24-7 with the porch light on just in case someone needs you. I really don't think that these parents see us as human beings-we're just a place they drop off their kids. I would let them know that if they picked up at 8PM, their late pickup fee would be $120 and payable at pickup. For that, I'd probably be willing to sit at home and wait for them.
