Tired Of The Disrespect From Parents

DCM #1 thought going to Las Vegas at the beginning of the month was more important than paying me.

My hubby said its obviously just her that went cause he has seen her husband driving around.

DCM #2 cancelled her daughters days for the week. She text's me this morning saying she is back from nana's early and she will be there at 10:00.

It is now 12:45 and still no sign of her.

I could have oh I don't know, gone to the park, to the where ever.

Im so done with these people. I plan on doing this for one more year and I hope come September I will fill my spots with new kids and new parents who wont walk all over me.

    Ugh, that is rough.

Do you have any rules or policies about being late or not showing up as scheduled?

Honestly, I would not have allowed the child to attend because the parent already said they would be absent.

The DCM in Vegas.....I have LOTS of mothers who take "girl's" weekends away from their families.

Had they NOT paid me on time though, they would be getting a HUGE late fee when they returned.

Have you tried calling either the mom or the dad? I wouldn't care if she was in Vegas....I'd still consider calling.

People treat you the way you allow them to treat you. If you politely say "I will not tolerate this......." then you will be treated the way you deserve. All new parents in the fall will not cure this. It comes from inside YOU. The key is polite and firm. If you do not show up at 10, I will wait maybe 1/2 hour and then lock up the house and "go for a walk". I will call you if you "forget" to pay me. I am important, my business is important. I don't demand respect, I just EXPECT respect. Sometimes I still don't get it, but keep trying.
