Well I'm Just Confused Now..

Dcbs Mom and Dad are both teachers.

I told them for the summer if they want to,they can pay half and he can come in two days a week. I also gave them this in writing and its in the contract. I charge them 135 a week. She told me throughout the month of June he would be full time because they were doing summer school. That's totally fine.

Fast forward to this morning when she gives me an envelope full of post dated checks for the summer. I'm thinking great, she's on top of this!

No. The checks start next week and are written for 90 dollars. :confused:

1. She told me he would be full time throughout June.

2. If she were utilizing the two days a week, she would only owe me 67.50.

3. Her phone is broken so I have to wait until pick up to talk to her. :/

Why do they make everything so hard??

My guess is that she is prorating for 3 days a week. That would be around $90.

Sounds to me like it is the DCM that is confused.

Can you call DCD? If her phone is broken, how are you suppose to contact her?

Is the child not FT now - shouldn't she be paying you $135/week since he is still FT through June? I guess I am a little confused too. Not sure where they got the $90 figure - it doesn't take a rocket science to divide $135 in half but maybe there is a reason for her madness!

conveniently, 4 weeks at 135 plus 8 weeks at 67.5 averages out to be 12 weeks at $90

I think that's what happened too.

Her phone is back on now so she called me when I texted her. She said she didn't know where she got the 90 from but I think the above suggestion is correct. She also said her dh is not doing summer school after all so he will be with him.

Thanks for the short notice! Jeez.

In an emergency I would have called her classroom but today I thought it could wait until the afternoon when she picked up but then there was a chance dcd would pick up and be clueless. So I texted to test if she had the phone back. Luckily, she did. But that also would have been nice to know!
