      We have a metal recycling center that usually has a some, but its really hit or miss as they can't guarantee stock.

      My old company (non-DC job) used to have us order signs for parking/maintenance stuff from here: http://www.emedco.com/signs.html No idea how cost compares though

          I'm confused. What kind of road signs are you talking about?

          Here, road signs belong to the state, county or city and most are illegal (technically, although I know lots of people who have them) to have.

                We have several printing companies in my town that are similar to Kinkos. They make yard signs for a pretty low price.

                I'd check with them first. Most mail order companies want you to order a minimum of 50 signs and even at $9.99 (which is really cheap) it would cost you over $500.

                  I'd try contacting local sign companies, you know, the type that make banners and signs for businesses. Also check into places like BC said, I think here they're now called FedEx Office instead of Kinkos but the ones in my area charge starting at $20 for a 12x18.

                  You can also try going to your local home improvement store (like Lowe's or Home Depot) and buying the yard sale signs with the stands and then just making your own poster and printing a few (like at a FedEx Office) and then laminating them. Then just attach two on each sign. I'm not sure how much this would cost for a sign sized printing but it costs me roughly about $.65 per color copy when I go there for a regular 8.5x11 size page.

                    Staples has a special promotion right now for the plastic signs that stick in the ground with a metal "H" stand. (like the house for sale or garage sale signs.) They don't come with the stand but they are currently $20 for a 27" x 18" sign. Here is the link to their promo: www.staples.com/20deals I don't know if that's cheaper than what you currently pay but they also have a really good deal on brochures, too. Everything on there is $20 until June 29th.

                      We arent allowed to advertise with signs in our yard, it's a DHS rule. I wish we could.

                            We aren't either but I really don't want to. I don't want people knocking on my door when I'm trying to watch children. Plus I'm afraid of undesirables knowing there are children there, kwim? In a center it is different because you have someone at the front desk to screen people that walk in off of the street.

                            Maybe I'm paranoid though. ::
