I don't know yet either. Last year I picked up some wooden birdhouses Michael's had on clearance and the kids painted those. The dads really loved them
Last year I had the kids color a 4x6 sheet of cardstock. I took another piece of cardstock and cut out the letters "DAD" using my cricut (could be done with a stencil too) and placed that over it - so you could see the colored paper where I had cut out the letters, and then framed them in a 1.00 frame from target. They were very very nice looking.
Me too! I will have two 2.5 year olds making Father's Day projects. For my own kids for DH, I have had them hold up pieces of paper that either spell out "DAD" or "I love Daddy" or something like that, and take their pictures with them, and collage it. I've done it every year since my first was born. Not sure that's something I can do with the DCKs ...
I am going to stamp their footprints on ShrinkyDink paper, punch a hole in it, then shrink the paper and make a keychain with them. I have to admit, my daughter did this at a girl scout meeting, so it isn't my idea, but they are really cute when they are done!

Last year I took pics of the kids and they made frames from popsicle sticks. I wrote I Love You Dad (or Daddy-kids choice) and they decorated with markers, paint, stickers, etc. We put magnets on the back so they could hang them on the frig. Not sure what we are doing this year.

They were pretty small, probably about 2 inches or so. Make sure if you do it you cut around the foot in like an oval. Don't cut out individual toes or anything or they will break easy. You can do the same thing with a handprint as well, but again, don't cut around each individual finger. You can get the Shrinky Dink paper at some craft stores. I know my daughter's leader got it at Michael's. She gave me the supplies I needed for it because I am the assistant leader, even though she plans everything. I am there to help with crowd control ::
The last set we did, the ink didn't dry after they shrunk, so you might have to put some kind of sealer on it afterwards. We did the same thing with hands for Mother's day and they worked fine, but we sprinkled some kind of powdery glitter over it to seal it (sorry, not that crafty to know what it is called) before shrinking. We used a regular washable ink stamp pad to stamp their hands/feet. They really are cute and very simple to do. Just make sure you punch the hole before shrinking them!

I just got my first infant this week and I am doing a footprint craft and poem. It will be dcd's first father's day so I want to do something that will remind him of how tiny his dcb once was on this special day. I haven't decided on the actual artwork but it will be something like this:

You can get a generic version of the paper cheap on amazon. 50 sheets for $20.
