    Stealing Toys

Has anyone had to do deal with dcks stealing toys from your dc? Last winter i had a dcf with dcb18 months and dcb8. Dcb8 started stealing small toy cars from me until my dd saw it and told my dh. Before he left that day we patted him down and found a buch he was trying to smuggle out in his pants. He also tried to get my dd6 to give him her piggy bank money so he could go spend it at the store. She asked if it was okay to give him her money. That was a big NO I termed them immediately.

I'm dealing with it right now. DCB3 keeps trying to slyly take things home. He even says, " I don't have that at home." Most the time, it's stuff that wouldn't work on its own or things other kids like, like the train shaped puzzle piece from a wooden puzzle. Stupid stuff. He also hides toys. I'm missing a few things. He used to hide them behind my fake fireplace. He got a big shock when I pulled it out to clean behind it and 'discovered' all the things he hid & put them back into circulation. He tries to be sneaky too. If he thinks I'm not watching, he'll stuff things in his pockets or hide toys behind the couch.
