    been playing human Barbie doll

    My 18 mo dcg rarely has clothes or shoes that fit her right. Everything is too big, too small, too stained, doesn't match, etc. Mom kept saying she was going to take her shopping when she got her tax return. She got her money last week and said she was going to go shopping this past weekend.

    Jokingly, I told her to give me $x and I would buy her some clothes. Mom took me up on it. I went to Old Navy, Costco, and Target. I bought 12 outfits (2 dresses, 2 skort sets, 3 leggings sets, and 5 short outfits) and 8 pair of socks for less than $100. We just tried them all on and all but 2 shirts fit really nice and look so cute on her.

    Everything I bought was on sale or clearanced. I got some really good deals. All of the clothes that I bought at Old Navy were on sale/clearanced and you got an additional 20% off yesterday.

    Tomorrow, we'll go to Stride-Rite and get her some shoes.

    Yeah!!!!!!!!!! We have cute clothes for the summer. I love dressing up little girls.

      did that with a teen once.. It was a great pairing as we were both overweight. the 2 stores we could shop would not have been my choices but it worked. talked her into the pants on clearance so she could have 2 pair then she could get 2 cool tops to go with it. she had no idea how to stretch a buck.
      It:: will wait

          What's even nicer is Mom already transfered the money I spent back to my account. She hasn't even seen the receipts yet.

          I took a pic of each outfit and texted it to Mom. She loved all the clothes.

          This mom really does try. She's a single mom (sperm bank baby) with no family. She was born and raised in Kenya so she deals with a different culture on top of it.
