Oh goodness.
I just posted about "passive aggressive/backbone" and decided I was going to revise my policy book.
Then I get a text message from another DCP giving me notice.
This is a legit reason (I think) but it comes at a time when I am already scrounging to make ends meet.
I care for mainly teachers children and I do not charge a summer holding fee nor do I charge extra through the school year to make up for my loss during the summer. If I did I would not have clients or they would "risk" not having the space come fall and simply not pay.
I have a couple other families that I count on to get me through the summer and I lost one a couple weeks ago (the young DCM I wrote about in earlier post), I haven't heard from another DCF (probably bc the state increased her fee and she doesn't want to pay that much), a DCM who goes to school during the summer (just gave me notice), another DCK I will only have through June and returns in August.
I am at the end of my rope- ready to throw in the towel. I just can't catch a break.
No calls for care either.
Has anyone ever advertised for drop-in only? How did that work?
UGH ready to look for a summer job--- but that one DCK needs me and so do MY kids.
Thanks for the vent.
