How Much Would You Sell This For?

I have this slide in my backyard. Last time my dhs rep was here she said I had to put surfacing under it I really dont want woodchips or anything in my yard! I just paid about $1100 for this 1 year ago! What do you think someone would pay? I really want to get it sold this weekend so my hubs can't have a cow about me doing it. (he's out of town) I just really really don't want to put in the surfacing!

Hmmm it's cute but I am surprised at how pricey it is! Personally, if I wanted to purchase would maybe pay $200-300. I really think it is overpiced but maybe that is just me, I live in a LCOL area so maybe that is why, ! We go to an indoor play area that sells those HUGE wooden play structures & you can buy a huge swingset with slides/climbing walls all the bells & whistles for 2-3K so for one slide I think it seems overpriced.

I was thinking the same thing as above poster. That is really over priced. I don't think you get anything over 400 dollars for it and thats pushing it.

        I think so, too.

I typically try to sell things that are hardly used and in great shape for about 30% of what I bought it for. Now there are somethings that I sell for 10% and others more like 50% depending on the need of the item.

The "rule of thumb" in my area for selling something is to sell it at 15-20% below the original price you paid if you are selling something that was brand new but never used. If the item is in good-great condition usually a fair price is 30-40% below it's original price. If it's in not so good condition but still usable 20-40% below cost depending on what it is.

It also depends on your area. On my CL you can get a used Little Tikes Climbing Towers Playground for $275 in good condition when it costs $900 brand new. That's about 30% of the original cost and even then they sometimes don't sell or take a while to sell.

                New:
Little Tikes manufactures kid’s toys, playhouses, ride on cars and so much more!

                Used CL Ad:

I think that $300 is a fair deal or you can try for $400. If you really want to get it out fast you can try $200.

I agree with above posts... $400 at the absolute max.

I'm way too ch-- err... frugal to spend money on anything that pricey. I get most of my things off CL for a fraction of what new costs. I'll generally keep an eye on items I may want to purchase to see what the going rate is. Then I just wait until it hits the lower end of the price point before I buy. Works out nicely that way because when I want to sell, I never lose any money.

Good luck though. Hope you can find a buyer!

Before I read the other responses I was thinking $200 or $300. I would definitely buy it for $200 or $250 but really start to hesitate at $300.
