sticky dough, icky dough....HELP

SO the playdough thread got me excited to make some new batches.

Why is it coming out so sticky????

I usually cook mine. It comes out a lot more cohesive...maybe a little cornstarch might help.

yeah we did it on the stove top....I always make it on the stove......

That usually happens if you did not cook it long enough. Add some more vegetable oil to it... it works for me
