Update On My Call To DFPS..

So I did end up calling my licensor to discuss my neighbor neglecting her dcks that she is watching illegally.

She called me back this morning to talk about the incident.

I told her about how I was waiting for my sons bus when I witnessed my neighbor put an infant in her truck and leave. About a minute later, her son came outside with 3 preschool age children with him. (he is maybe 11, they were all 2 to 3) I then realized she had left them with her son as their supervision. They were playing in the driveway.

I told her then a bus arrived and her 7 year old daughter and another school age neighbor girl went into the house.

A few minutes later, the neighbor returned with another school age girl and still also had the infant. The neighbor went inside with the infant and all of the kids stayed outside to play in the yard/street.

I told her that I also witnessed her yelling at yet another neighbor girl who had come over to play and that she had lightly slapped the child in the face.

My licensor said that she would put that report in and that while they would not say who called, the neighbor probably would still come over to start trouble.

Anyone know of any good wireless camera systems??? I can guarantee she will be trying to either come over to scream at me or vandalize my property.

That ****s but I couldn't not report when she left children unattended. And then hit another child.

How scary for these parents that are putting their trust in this lady!

I don't have any advice on what to do to deal with her, other than denying that it was you ... but I don't know how far that would go.

    Good luck.

I'm not sure if the parents know that she leaves them with her son but at least some of them know that they run amok I the yard and streets because I've seen them pull up while their kids are in the road.

I'm assuming they just don't care because she is cheap. That my guess anyway.

Can you call the police non emergency number and see if you can get some patrols to monitor your house?

        What a nut job!

Thats a good idea, I will try and hope that they care enough. We do have a citizen patrol car in town.

Do you have a cell phone with a video camera? If she comes to your door, record what she.says or.does on your porch, don't open the door, call police.

                New update:

DFPS came to my house Friday to ask me some questions about the neighbor. I told her everything that I had seen and then she said she was going to watch their house for a bit.

The downside to this was that she sat outside my house and then inspected her that same day. Well jeez, make it look a little more obvious who called on her, will ya?

Over the weekend, her DH caught my DH outside while he was trying to leave with our 3 yo ds. He questioned my DH about the call and DH played dumb. Neighbor said that they cant prove that they are making money off of it and that he read online that they can have 6 kids in family care. (I have no idea where he read that but he probably got that confused with LEGAL family care) DH was just like, "Yeah, good luck with that."

Also, it turns out that the new neighbors behind them really aren't fans of theirs and have apparently verbally threatened to call on them for the childcare as well. So right now, they think that it was them. For all we know, they might have called too.

It doesn't sound like they are going to stop any time soon but at least maybe now she will be too scared to leave those babies alone with her 10 year old again.

If you are still looking for a wireless camera, check Harbor Freight. They have pretty good prices. http://www.harborfreight.com/catalog...esult?q=camera

                  Hope things turn out ok.

That's terrible! Isn't there a maximum number of children she can watch even though she's unlicensed?

What if you called CPS? Obviously the children are in danger if they're being left with another child and she's hitting them.

Phew! Definitely let them blame the other neighbors! sounds like you have dealt with enough problems from them already! Plus at least you may not be the only one looking out for those kids!

For now... I wouldn't put it past her to let things die down for a bit and then starting back to her old ways I'd just keep a log and report anything I see, maybe they'll hit her with some fines or she'll get tired of having them show up and go legit or close.
