What To Charge For Overtime Care??

I have a family that has need care a little later every now and then. The first couple of times was only an hour late and I didn't charge since I do close a little early now and then and don't deduct for that.
Last time was about 3 hours and they said to let them know what they owe me for that.

Not sure what to charge?? Do any of you have an hourly rate for things like this?

    Thanks for the help!

    For 3 hours I'd charge $20

Anything outside my normal business hours is billed at 1.5-2 times my regular rate.

If a family arranges a late pick up in advance, I bill them according to the formula above.

If a family is simply late beyond my normal scheduled closing time with out notice, they are billed $1 per minute. I do begin calling their emergency contact people for pickup after 15 minutes.

If it's during normal business hours and it's approved ahead of time, I charge $5 per hour. If they don't provide notice and just show up late (still during normal business hours), I charge $10 for every 15 minutes they are late. If it's after closing time, I charge $60 per hour. ($1.00 per minute.)

If they are late without prior approval, it is $5 every 15 min. If they have prior approval, it is $5 every 30 min.

If they are late without it being pre-arranged, it is $1.00 per minute.

If it is pre-arranged, I charge $3.00 for a half an hour and $6.00 for a full hour after care.

You are all much nicer than me, I do not want to work outside of my regular hours, so I charge $20 if it is pre-arranged, so parents only use it if they REALLY need it. My late fee is $1/minute.

I charge $10 an hour, if they are 35 mins late instead of an hour it's still $10

I charge $8/hr for any additional hours needed. If they told you ahead of time I would charge by the hour and not late fees.
