    Would You Have Termed?

    Ok so this family originally called for three kids 3,4 and 6 SA. SA would be here during the summer. Were supposed to be here from 7:30-5:30 daily. And she was leaving current daycare because they didn't have room for her kids as of May 31. Most days they showed up at 11:30.

    Mom literally refused to give me a schedule would text everyday saying what time they would be showing up. This has gone on for about 2 weeks, until I finally wrote a note that I would need a schedule no later than the Friday before the next week and I must have their summer schedule by May 10.

    She gives me the sob story that she just doesn't know what her schedule will be as they just opened their new business (which was failing and the lease is up June 1). First she tells me she is going to send the SA boy to another center now because she doesn't want him with her other kids (he's her stepson and she refers to him as the 'bad one'. Then a few days later she tells me she is sending the four year old back to her old daycare (you know the one that supposedly didn't have room for them) and I will have the boys for the summer.

    Then tells me she has to drop them down to part time but wants to swipe them in illegally. I said no.

    Today she tells me this will be their last week literally as I'm about to tell her I'm filling her spot since she won't give a straight schedule....

    So annoyed that I let her string me on the last month or two. AND I had a family ask me last week about caring for their three kids!

    Not to mention it made my program look dull and boring considering she was bringing them at such an awful time. What does a parent expect if they are bringing their kids a half an hour before lunch, then its naptime, then snack pretty much as soon as they wake up.

    So now I just want to tell her that today is the last day... I don't even want to deal with her the rest of the week.

    Just the fact that she asked you do something illegal would have done it for me.

      That would have sealed the deal for me as well.

        Yes I would have termed and I would probably call the state and tell them what she said about swiping them in illegally bet she does it at the old place.
        It:: will wait

          Should I give a term letter for today since she just told me today this is their last week or should I date it for this Friday?

              Do you need the income until Friday?

                I will get paid the same regardless. They are state pay and have already met their part time requirement for hours.

                  Good riddance! Term now and then report them for what they were wanting you to do (like a previous poster suggested).

                    Definitely term now, and absolutely report them. What on Earth is wrong with people? Jeez.
