    No DCK's Are Here Yet

Out of 4 dck's that should already be here...I have 0 here yet. One notified me by text last night that they would be a little later since dcm is on vacation this week (yeah, she's still bringing him to daycare).

Another dcm was just telling me last Thursday how she HAS to be at work by 7:45 at the new job she has, she's STILL at home at 8:10 (lives next door to me).

Another dcm JUST now called saying she goes into work a little later today and had thought her husband was bringing dcb at 7:30 so she's on her way with him. Greatful she called. She's a perfect dcp who communicates everything to me when things change. Too bad dcb is only part time.

Fourth dcb...I have heard nothing from yet.

The things I could have done with this extra time this morning....like sleep

I hate it when that happens. I'm having a similar morning. It's normal for me to not have any dcks yet (it's almost 9, and yes, I'm blessed that for now this is a normal Monday!) but DS has been up since 630 and my DH (D =/= "dear" just now) decided to make me get up with him....after I had only a few hours sleep. Yay me. It's definitely a morning for coffee. Oh wait, I'm out of cream.

Yup, gonna be a loooong day.
Hee hee! Look, I have a signature!

Same thing here. My 5 AM didn't show up. I checked my cell @ 5:40 and saw that Dad had texted me at 4:45, before I came downstairs, to say he wasn't coming. Of course, I didn't go to sleep until after 1 and woke up at 3:45.

Ditto!! I hate when they assume we are just waiting around for them. I could've gotten 45 more mins of sleep this morning!!

I guess it's just me, but I like it when my early kiddos show up late- gives me some much needed alone time after my own kids go to school

This would be awesome for me as well but my DCKS start showing up BEFORE my kids even have to get up. So I coulda slept in a little longer. I would love for them to come after my own leave for school......

Oh...don't get me wrong, I love the extra time as well, but it would be nice to know in advance so I could do something else...even if it IS just to relax before any kids show up. But when you don't know, it's as if you're just constantly watching and waiting...that's the part I really don't like.

I don't want to take the time to start something else because I'm afraid they will show up just as I get started or right in the middle of it.

:: I like it, too. The delay is never more than 10 minutes for the kids, though, but I do enjoy sitting in silence for 10 min.
It's annoying if you have to wake up EARLIER for a family, though.

I love it when that happens! I have to get up to get my kids off to school anyway, so a late drop-off means I've got a little quiet time to myself after they leave.

This. It rarely happens all at once though. One time I got a solid hour with just me and my youngest ds playing quietly in the playroom. Best start to my day ever!

That was me yesterday, too. Waiting at 6:45 for my friend to drop off her little girl, disinterested how til after 7. And I'm not technically supposed to open until 7:30.
