    Help!!....

    So, I take drop ins.

    It's currently 854 pm here.

At 845 pm I get a phone call with a LA area code. I'm thinking its my husband because he works offshore out of there and I knew they were sending the crews home tonight or tomorrow.

So this lady was on the phone asking me did I accept drop ins. I told her yes. She wanted to know how much. I asked her for what hours. She said an overnight drop in from 9pm until 8 am. My overnight drop in hours are 7 pm until 8 am. So, it's for three kids so I give her the rate. The ages were 7 months, 1 yr, and 3 yr. she says,

" that's sounds great , ill call you in about thirty minutes when I get closer for directions" and she hangs up the phone.

It took Me a few minutes to realize what just happened. So I tried to call her back and she isn't answering.

Al I know is that they are from LA and here for whatever reason.

She gets my info from CL and looked at my website...called me up.

I thought she meant a drop in for a night in the FUTURE. not tonight !!!!

Wow! That is just about all I can say, wow!
Not answer the door... When she calls back, tell her you thought she meant in the future.
I can't imagine dropping my kids off with a stranger at 9 pm for the night!!

Me either .... My son has never even been without me or left with anyone even family on his entire life. My daughter has I can count on my hands.

Strange very strange. Something about this didnt seem right.... I heard the kids in the background and she was in a car. I didn't give her my address so shed have to call back if that's what she's planning. I get this weird feeling if I had agreed, this woman may not come back to get her kids.. That was the vibe I got...the intuition..

Maybe tell her that you would need to do an interview during your normal interview hours and with all drop in's you require advance notice of at least 2 days or something like that.

I'd also want a local address not an out of town one and I'd take her driver's license number and info as well.

I definitely wouldn't let them in my house tonight especially if your husband isn't there to protect you. Sounds fishy.

Don't answer the phone when she calls back.
          I see little people.

Yikes, has she called back yet? I would probably answer and let her know that you are sorry for the confusion, but you only accept drop offs after you have a tradtional interview with the families. I would be worried about anyone who wanted to drop off three young kids with a total stranger without so much as meeting or interviewing or anything.

She hasn't called back yet, thank goodness. Lol I'm not worried about safety, I have back up. I called a county deputy off duty and he was ready to come out here when I was ready.

Gosh I'm glad she didn't call. What a horrible feeling as a chills... To be left with a stranger all night long.

Oh my gosh...that is downright chilling.

What kind of person would just drop off their little kids with complete strangers like that!!!!
