The only acknowledgement I've recieved so far was a post card from my tax lady, who only has provider clients. That's okay. This isn't my career because I want anyone to acknowledge what a great job I do, I do it because I love the kids and want to help them grow up to be well rounded, loving kids with values and morals. So it's okay, I know that's what I'm doing (even if no one acknowledges it).

Same to all of you. I didn't know this day existed. Yesterday one of my mums brought me some salad dressing she thought I'd like so I guess that counts.

Well at least we all know that this day exists . So far only one family mentioned anything and bought me 2 packages of suppy cups in the size I was looking for. I wasn't expecting any one of my families to remember so this is a great surprise for me .

I don't think anyone knows this day exists, heck I didn't even know. I got a couple homemade bath fizzers from a family, they are very sweet, they had made a bunch for teacher appreciation and gave me one, I said "sweet its provider appreciation to, so thank you!" she said she had no idea that day existed, I said don't worry neither did I!!!

I can say for a fact that if my families knew this day existed I would totally hear something from everyone, my families appreciate me so much. They don't advertise it so no one knows.

The Childcare Provider

Although I'm not their mother,
I care for them each day.
I cuddle, sing, and read to them,
And watch them as they play.
I see each new accomplishment,
and help them grow and learn,
I understand their language,
and I listen with concern.

They come to me for comfort,
And I kiss away their tears.
They proudly show their work to me,
I give the loudest cheers!

No, I am not their mother,
But my role is just as strong.
I nurture them and keep them safe,
Though maybe not for long.

I know someday the time may come,
When we will have to part,
But I know each child I've cared for
Is forever in my heart!
