Butterfly Footprints

I am going to do the butterfly footprints on a flower pot for my one infant and two 18 mo old dck's for mother's day.

I just decided to do this today and will buy the supplies tonight.

I have never done this. Does tempera paint work? Then I spray them with mod podge? I have never used mp!

I JUST did these on cylinder vases. I guessed and used tempura paint, a sharpie for the body/antennae and modge podge to seal, they turned out great!

I used acrylics, I already had them thankfully. The tempera paints and modge podge should be great, that was my original intend til I realized I still had acrylics ::
