I keep the bottles here, and wash them. But, I have had parents who preferred to take them home each day, and fill them at home as well.

I have also switched bottles here...so, if one bottle isn't working, i'll try another kind, so we don't have the issues here. Occasionally the parents will also switch, but usually they just muddle through.

I don't send sippys or other eating utensils home for parents to wash either. Honestly the concept seems a little strange to me. For those that do send bottles home if you'd be willing to offer your reasons why I'd like to learn the other side of this coin!
When I first started out I had multiple infants on bottles. Some had the same brand/nipple sizes. The labels on the bottles wash off, the nipples could easily get mixed up, etc. It also became a storage issue. I DO supply one brand of bottle that I keep here (and would wash myself), but most of the moms have chosen to use their own. Also most of the moms had EBM, so it was easier to send the bottles home for them to wash and refill.
I also have parents supply infant foods because, although I do have some food on hand per the food program rules, the parents prefer to send in their own. Now, I don't allow them to send in food for older children (I might make an exception for an allergy) but again, it's easier than having my cupboards filled with multiple jars of baby foods.
No one has ever questioned it.

Depends. If it is breast milk or if the parents make their bottles then I send them home to wash. If I am making the bottles, then I wash as they stay here.

No because I'm always paranoid they'll forget and I"ll be SOL with no way to feed a baby. Same thing with pacifiers - they need to keep one with me if their child uses them.

That's how I would do things if I took infants.

Oh and if a child walks in with a sippy cup, I put it in their bag unwashed. I guess if it came from home it returns home to be washed. If it is mine or stays here, I wash it.

Yes and no-there wasn't an option for that. I only have one child, besides my own that has bottles. The mom brings it everyday (only 1) sometimes I wash it and sometimes I don't.

We don't use bottles here. I only take children 11-12 months and up. By then, I have them use a sippy cup. I supply and wash all sippys. I could never trust my parents to return anything I sent home and needed back

Mine depends on what kind of bottles.

The small bottles that mom's send breastmilk in (like the medela ones) I send home to be washed, mainly because I found moms were washing them anyway before pumping.

Regular bottles I just keep and wash bottles.

I supply my own bottles and keep them here. If parent choses to send in bottle it will stay here. I do receive BM in bottles containers but with flat tops. Those I rinse and return daily. I have on occasion sent home with bottle and bottles are never returned. I try my hardest to never send home with one.

Any "dishes" that come here are rinsed, but not washed. As for bottles, they must bring enough for the whole day... I won't wash and reuse. (But I don't take infants anymore, so it's a moot point.)
