    I always find the first thing that a parents wants to lower is their DC bill. I had a family that went and had a 4.5million dollar home built. YEs you read that right. Kids have the best of everything.

    It was right around the same time that they moved into their new home, (first of the year) that I sent out notification that I would be changing the way that I bill . I was not getting a raise, just changing the way that I did it. This family, threw a fit. THey told me there is no way that they could afford DC now and that they were going to have to look for another DC. They had 2 kids with me and it was a large amount of my income, so I buckled under pressure and gave them a discount to keep them here.

    UGHHHH that was a mistake. BOy I don't miss southern california anymore... Well, I shouldn't say that, I have parents up here to that do the same exact things to tme....

      Babysitters around here make $10 to $15 per hour

      using someone else's internet

      eating someone else's snacks

      while the kids usually sleep 50% of the time

      Babysitter? I only wish I made that kind of money for that kind of work!! :: ::
      That is true, most people around me make around $10, but only when they babysit every once in a while, not full time.
      Now that you have mentioned all those benefits, I should take several babysitting jobs...I would probably make lots more! ::

        There's a family provider in our area who only charges $80/week because she doesn't really need the money. Then when CCRR publishes the minimum/maximum rate charts those of us who are charging an average rate look like we're charging too much.
