    Obtaining A Background Check

So I have this volunteer I'm meeting tomorrow evening and she may be coming once or twice a week...if I think it will work. She is not required to go through licensing at this point.

What do I need to do to get a background check on her? I know what papers to give her for licensing but if im not going through licensing how do I do it?

Do you have ichat where you are? I'm in MI and I had to go through them to get a background check. I don't know what each state has, but the link on my state's gov. website. Maybe your state has a link on their site.

I'm in ca and I was told a volunteer that frequented more than 20 min a day would need a back ground check. I was told I could not even have someone come and do a "try out" day if I wanted to try out an employee for the day. I would still need that person passed through all of licensing requirements.

Honestly, we have all had so many differences on LIC rules if I were u I would call the duty officer of the day or your analyst.

      Better safe than sorry.

True, I may just call them to find out what I should have done.
