Well, my "first interview" people from a couple weeks ago are actually coming this evening! (At least so far ... they ended up cancelling our rescheduled date last week because the weather as finally nice and she wanted to get her maternity shots done...3rd times a charm, right?)

But, now they won't be my first, as I have another interview set up this morning with another family

AND, I received a phone call last night from a guy who asked me about my rates, and hours, and then wanted to know if his 4 year old daughter could start today I told him that first we have to meet, to make sure I'm a good fit for his daughter, and she needs to have all of her paperwork filled out before she can start. So, he's coming on Wednesday evening for the "interview" - interested to see how that one turns out.

And ALSO, I went into my parent's neighborhood yesterday, and stuffed flyers in a bunch of boxes (not mail boxes, but the wooden, NOT newspaper owned, boxes underneath the mail boxes), and then I noticed the model house was open, so I went in there and talked to the realtor guy. He said he would take some of my cards and hand them out to the new families he has coming through! So, now I'm on a hunt for model homes in these new neighborhoods, haha.

That is awesome and I'm sure you'll fill up in no time! I have had a couple of no shows, but that's a given in this profession. The first no show that I had was a huge disappointment, but the one after was no big deal-you don't want them anyways if they can't even show up! Good luck!

Thanks for the support ... I was totally bummed out all day because of it, but now I'm just telling myself it wasn't meant to me. She e-mailed me back (still hasn't given me her phone number) and said "I totally forgot!" ...

Evening interview went really well - nice and quick Very friendly couple, she's due in a month (but she thinks it'll be sooner than that with all of the signs) and then she has 12 weeks maternity leave. They're the couple willing to pay a holding fee if somebody else comes in interested for an infant spot.

I felt all totally flustered during the interview.

AND I have my first one enrolling - starting next week!!! Adorable little guy, 2.5 years old, will be coming 2 days a week, so just for the morning for now, and may eventually come full days later on in the summer.

I also have an interview tomorrow morning for a full-time infant.

Interview guy from last night (the one who wanted to start his daughter without even meeting me) didn't show ... I called, and when I told him who I was on the phone, he said "uh, let me call you back" ... that was at 6:20 last night and I have yet to hear back from him, haha.
