I have a 1 year old that cries when being around other children and all of them are her age, ranging from 10 months to 2 years of age. She will sit pretty happy and quiet when I sit with her but when a child comes near me or her she screams. Also, when I get up, not even leave the room, she screams and it is very disruptive of children sleeping, eating and playing. I do sit on the floor with the children 90% of the day but cannot just attend to her. Any ideas/suggestions?

Unfortunately you might have just gotten a "slow to warm" child which has made a connection to you. It might just be her temperament.
If this is the case here's a cool little tool that describes temperament and gives ideas on how to handle different kids with different temperaments. It's made for parents so it will ask you to rate yourself and the child too see if there is a "goodness of fit" but I've used it and it worked for me. If she is a slow to warm child it'll give you ideas on how to introduce the child to other activities and people slowly. It could be something completely different but it's worth a try.
