Michelle--I Have A Repairman Funny For You

so last week on thursday, the repair man comes to fix the dish washer. Its now a little after one, and I just got all the kids down for a nap.

so my kitchen and living room are little seperated by a wall, from my kitchen you can stand in the door way of the living room

so I sat down to eat my lunch (ya know bon bons !) and turned on the tv to watch the Golden Girls (love that show) and today, they were talking about their periods and how they all got it. So here I am watching tv, when I realized the repairman was in the kitchen fixing the dishwasher.

omg, I was so embarressed I switched the show to something more masculine, but let me tell ya, he moved so fast to fix that machine, it was funny, thank goodness he let himself out and I didn't have to sign anything because my face was so red.

That's exactly how we get rid of men in the living room! (dh, ds and my brother)
If we want to have our girl time, we just start talking about the best brand of tampons and birth control and they leave very quickly!

I think I remember that episode of Golden Girls!
too funny..I need to go clean my computer screen now

So I have an acre, my neighbour decided to put a fence up only half way down (we don't need fencing out here) and I refuse to put up the rest because the fencing is very very expensive, its the new vinyal style.

so my kids have never gone over to his property and neither have any of the daycare kids (I'm outside so there is no problem)

but here is where dh and I are disagreeing. the neighbour has a grandson who comes over alot (they live down the street) his mother doesn't watch him well, heck none of them do. He's about 4 yrs old. Now we have a trampoline, and a pool (thats locked with 2 fences around it--there is a reason for it but it has to do with them) and all my play stuff out.

if we are not home and the kid or the drunks who come over on our side get hurt, who is liable. Dh said its us because its home owners, but I said that they are trespassing and they would be because they came in our yard.

so whos right. Oh, one night we came home and found a bunch of drunks peeing on our side of the fence, right where all the kids play, we even have feet marks from them jumping on the trampoline. Talking to them doesn't work, because last year they decided to play baseball and were hitting the balls against dh's garage door, so now it has dings in it, they denied it even thou I saw them.
Well, You are in Canada and i don't know the laws there but I do know that In the US that if someone gets hurt on your property ...you can be liable but it is not always 100%
Like if a person falls on a crack in your driveway or a hole in your yard then your house is in disrepair and they can sue.
If someone just comes in your house or yard and gets hurt from a trampoline, then I would say "no, you are not liable"
I have heard stories though that a burglar fell through a skylight and got hurt and then turned around, sued the owner and won!

So, it depends on the circumstances, State you live in, and the judge.
I would say, just get a fence and a german Shepard ... or post some signs that you will call the police for trespassing, and get dh to go out there and act kinda psycho to them if they are peeing in your yard(gross)

                I love Golden Girls!!

My grandma IS Blanche. I love her to pieces, but mannnn oh man. She has been married 5 times, she always has a new 'beau'. I have 4 aunts, and they all have different fathers (remarried each time, new baby!) She is the NICEST person you will ever meet though. She starts every sentence with 'Honey' or 'Sugar'. She is just a F L I R T with a capital F. I don't even know if it's intentional, she will call the busboy at restaurants "Yoohooo handsome, how bout you get me a little refill please." I have seen 15 year old boys check her out. She's a character! ::
