      just stay inside!
during the last fire we had the news was telling us that if we had to drive to turn on the air conditioner in the car or have it on recirculate..
      stay safe!

We're okay, it's WAY too hot to go outside because of the heat and there's ash floating around all over the next town over but we aren't so close that we have to worry about the fire hitting us.

I hear, but it's not confirmed so it could not be true, that someone was storing ammunition out in the hills somewhere and because of the heat it's what caused the fire. Again I'm not sure about it since it was info that was passed down from a family member that's a friend of someone in the fire department so you all know how that goes. I havn't heard them say the cause on the news so not sure how accurate that is.

We are definitely playing inside all day and I was prepared with frozen otter pops that I am shamelessly bribing the DCK's with (with permission from the parents of course) in order to keep them from getting cabin fever. We did table activities and music/movement all day and so far we are all getting through the day. It's just WAY hot outside (95 or so) and 75 inside my house, these are the times that I wish we had air conditioning .

I drove to Camarillo this morning for some awesome kid finds and they have ask and smoke all over (but I still went :.

Looks like all the smoke is heading over to Oxnard. I kept the kids inside too because two DCP's asked me to and I just figured that I'd better keep them all in. 2 DCP's kept their kids home (one because DCD's job is over the grade and they let him stay home and the other because they wanted to). I'm going to keep the kiddos inside tomorrow too.

My DS has wonky allergies and he sounds all congested even though we only left the house to pick up the preschoolers, the kindergartener and my 2nd grader. I really hope the fire burns itself out soon and I hope no one else looses their homes . The high winds aren't helping though.

OK good! I am glad to hear from you.
It's been very hot here too and we are a lot closer to the beach but still miserable! It's actually cooler outside than in my house.

                  Remember the last fires?
the ash and smoke make the sunset look really weird! like spooky

My next door neighbor is fighting this fire right now so I am going to ask his dad about the rumor and how the fire started.
                  Glad you are safe!
