    Wow, Prayers for Tripp...

This came across my Facebook feed and I was immediately feeling this Mom's grief. As I learned more, I read this injury occurred at daycare and my heart sunk. This was a freak accident of nature as a tree branch fell on Tripp's head, fracturing his skull. This is another reminder to not take any days for granted. Think positive and live every day to its fullest!!

I have followed this story a little and it is so sad how one day your child can be running and living life to the fullest, and the next be on life support system...possibly for the rest of their life.

The parents are amazingly strong, which proves we as parents have a lot more in us than we think sometimes.

I've been following the story and because of it I pay extra attention to the big tree in our backyard. It's an old (and huge) tree and it's branches pretty much cover our entire yard. When we have bad wind branches do break off and once a big one fell not even a foot from me as I ran out to shut the gate during a storm.
The tree is healthy but my neighborhood is old and you wouldn't believe some of the trees. We had a crazy storm a few years back that uprooted the tree in our front yard and several on our block. It was crazy seeing huge trees ripped out of the ground. One fell on a neighbors house and knocked it off its foundation!
Anyway, I now pay some extra special attention to trees.

I just saw this last week and I was so sad for this family! He is such an adorable little guy! I hope he can recover some of his abilities.

I've followed obsessively for 6 months. It's been the most stressful story i've ever watched unfold. One day he'll be doing well, and the next they are saying goodbye to him, then he'll have a good turn and do well for a while, then bad again.

The steps forward seem to be getting bigger than the steps backwards lately...so, I hope he can do well. Every head injury is completely different than the next, so there's no way to tell how he will do.
