If he wants to be a jerk like that, I would walk her over to him and say ahh here ya go, she missed you and wants you. See you tomorrow.

I totally would do it too.

I have one right now that is on maternity leave and the 2 yr old dcb comes his normal schedule. three days a week, 10 hours a day. He's the last one here and as soon as the other kids go home, he's a mess. He's so sad. I feel so bad for him. I mean I get that they're paying and everything, but 10 hours a day? He's feeling very neglected. I guess he's been just terrible at home. Huh. wonder why. You know, bring him, but pick him up by 3 or something. spend some time with him.

That sweet little girl just did my dirty work for me! Her dad just came to get her...11 minutes past her pick-up time. The very first thing she said to him was, "Daddy, why didn't you say hi to me? That wasa mean, Daddy."

He looked at me, puzzled. I said, "She saw you in the yard and was crying and waving at you. Didn't you hear her?" No response. I said, "Well, she really missed you while you were away. She is pretty upset with you right now, and she has been for most of the day."

So glad she spoke up! I hope he feels like the jacka** he is!

Wow. What a loser. I wonder how mom feels about this whole situation?

Reading things like this always make me go and give hubs the biggest, longest, juiciest kiss! He's such a sweet, selfless hubby and daddy!

good for that girl, but whats sad is that she is so young and she is starting to notice what dad is doing. Imagine when she gets older.

I can't even imagine! How sad! When I worked outside the home one of our neighbors was our dcp. My DH works odd hours and whenever he got home during the day when I was still at work he would pick our yds up. (Ods was in school) even if he had worked all night long. He couldn't stand the possibility of him seeing him and knowing he was home. He would have done the same even if it wasn't our neighbor though bc we just **** want our kids in daycare any longer than they had to be and as soon as I could I quit my job to be home. Glad she said something to he dad but it sounds like he doesn't really care. Poor kid.

Mom is well aware, and has pulled the same stunts. They really just see her as an accessory. Fun to dress up and take cute pictures, but quick to hand her off to anyone so they don't have to deal. It is very sad, and very annoying to deal with!

I also appreciate my DH so much, he is such a great father and is so dedicated to being a positive part of their world. Lucky us!

We had a recital for the little ballet students at my center. They practice since September for this one event and then dance class is over. One of my little ones mom didn't even bother to help her get ready, she just shoved the stuff in a bag for me to do. Then she did come back to see the recital, but at the end while the other moms and dads were celebrating and having cupcakes with their daughters, she just left without saying anything to DCG! I guess she thought dcg didn't see her, but she saw her pulling up. Little one was so upset, she was the only one alone, she just cried and cried. It hurt my feelings. I made sure I told her how upset dcg was. DCM is currently speaking to me in monosyllables, but who cares.
