    Walking

I have started going on walks with my sister durin nap timw while my assistant watches the kids. My problem is sometimes my assistant cant come and I need to walk to get in shape. Just had a serve health issue arise and need to lose 20lbs. I have a double stroller and take my kids out for a short walk almost daily but how long is to ling of a walk for the little ones not in a stroller ages 3 and 4? Sis and I usually do a mile? To long?

Please dont say go after or before kids get here as I have kids from 7am to 1130pm

    Thank you

My kiddos and I (most of my kids are 2) walk between 45 minutes and 2 hours a day. My kids could (and do) walk a mile or more every day. It's good for them, good for me and GREAT for nap time

Depends on the crew. Is the mile flat? Maybe try doing half a mile and see how they do. I have a 3 year that could totally handle a mile with hills, and a 6 year old who is dragging by the half mile mark before hitting the hill!

Is there a destination you could hit halfway? The school playground is half a mile from my house, so in the summer we'll walk, play for a while, have snack, and walk back. No problem!

The park that we go to is only a block away and they all know how to get there because we walk there everyday. I think we will try it out and see how they do. Thanks

HHMM, also your going to be walking at a slower pace so I know you can lose weight but will it take longer then you are wanting and is this something doc wants you to be able to do in a timely manner?

Mine can easily walk a mile but we aren't going at even a fast walk pace wish is better for you for the heart, weight, muscle toning, et c.

Can you do a video in another room during naptime? You could get some small hand weights etc. I walk at 6 am but I also take little ones for a walk daily they do about a half mile.

This is my crew too. The 2-3 year olds walk (keep pretty good time surprisingly) and then I have 2 17month olds that go in the double stroller. Its 1/2 a mile to our park so there and back is a mile, plus all the running and climbing they do at the park and they are fine. I rarely hear a whine, usually it's me when I'm pushing the double back up the hill (the last stretch to my house is all uphill) :::: We do this at least 3 times a week but I try for 5 days, it just depends on weather
