Why Do I Feel Terrible!!!

I'm taking my 2nd sick day this year, my first was the first week of April. I have caught everything these kids have brought in this year for some reason! Today I have strep and running fever, was open yesterday but felt awful all afternoon and went to the dr last night. Earlier in the month I caught the stomach bug a child brought here. I never get sick and have to take off for myself, but I feel like I am totally letting my parents down. I hope this isn't a sign of what the year will bring!

You aren't letting them down, you are doing them a favor by limiting the exposure to their kids of some very serious illnesses!!! If they get upset, explain that to them. Don't feel bad about your decision... Just get well!!

Yes, you need and deserve to be off! The kids probably gave it to you, and yes you need to rest!

It's the right thing to close for both you and the families that come to your home!

Why feel bad? I'm sure your parents have paid time off work they can use while you are getting better. If not, it's their responsibility to have alternate childcare.

I never feel bad when I close for ANY reason - especially if I'm sick. I'm only human. So are you.
