I love garage sales as well, but often buy things I don't even need because the price was too good to turn down 
We had a lawn sale last year on Memorial day weekend and made $600! I had soooo much stuff to get rid of, including tons of baby clothes and gear I didn't need for my business. I want to have another one this year but so far I only have some toys to sell which is the one thing that didn't sell well last year.
