What's The Best Chair Height?

I'm finally close to actually ordering some chairs. I would like to know what chair height you like best. I was thinking maybe 10" (seat to floor height). I found a better price on 8" but didn't know if they'd be too small as the children get older... Any thoughts? Thank you!

Lakeshore Learning has a great guide - I recently had to make all of my chairs shorter for FCCERS - for it to be considered "child height" the age and size of the child is a huge factor and their feet (tippy toes is fine) need to touch the floor when they are sitting all the way back in the chair. I have mostly 2 year olds in my classroom and 8 inch chairs.
