    I love opening early

When the family doesn't even show up on time! I do contracted time and my new family that started last week has not come at 7:00 once this week (I agree to a 7:00 time even though I usually don't contract til 7:30 or later. Having a talk today and changing time to 7:15- I could use that extra 15 minutes of sleep!

I hear ya! I have a family contracted for 7:45am. My only family today until after school when I get the SA. Here I sit at 8:25am and nobody is here.

    Frustrating

All my families are sched for the same time arrival.
If I were to accept an early arrival I would be clear that they better be there at appointed time or the privilege to come early will be taken away.
Just make sure they know that you are doing them a favor and want the respect of notification they will be later - the night before. Not in the AM. I hope they take your 7:15 offer.

Well at least they're showing up later. I had a family that I let go not too long ago that I had agreed to take on earlier than my regular opening time .(I open at 7am, DCM dropped off at 6:30am) and she started coming earlier and earlier starting at 5 minutes and up to 15 minutes. We talked about it several times until she finally came one day at 6:05. 25 minutes earlier than her scheduled time and 55 minutes earlier than my regular opening time. SMH. Gave them their notice that same day.

My parents that need to come early pay for it $5 more a day just to drop of early. This week I Am making an extra $10 a day and those parents are showing when they paid for it

I am getting paid extra, but I still want to know if they are to be late. When I brought it up at drop off, she said that she'd be her around 7:20 when training out of town (only a few more days of that) and 7:10 when at her job here in town. Well, I wish I would've known that this week since I was up extra early just to sit around Not looking forward to May where I have 1 week of 3 7:00 drop off families!

Maybe you could add a "late for your early drop off fee." I've heard it said many times here that when you attach money to a bad behavior it stops it.

I have open/close times. I have one that is do to arrive at 7:30 AM. She is always the first here.

Well, without any notice I have another DCG come in at 7:20 (never here until after 8) and another one show up at 7:30 (never here before 8).

I mean parents just think I'm sitting here just because my " open hours" begin at 7 ? So annoyed !

Is it easier to do contracted hours or a pain in the ***?

I would, but they re paying up the nose already b/c they are temporary and I'm charging them my drop in rate, and they'll only be here until June. I think we have it figured out now, but I will take away the early opening privilege if it keeps happening. I like my sleep!
