It looks really cool but the article was a bit confusing- she went to the $1 store and paid $1.50 for each item :confused: even with tax it should be no more than $1.10 for each item (if that), unless the sale tax there is 50%?

She used 4 curtains at $1.50 each, so $6.00. Sales tax on that here would be less than 50 cents, so I doubt she figured that in.

Yeah, we have both a dollar store and a .99 cent store....

....all that means is things are either priced in dollar increments or have a price ending in .99.
