I am back from the TLLCCF childcare teacher awards. It was fantastic/ Please consider entering next year. out of the 52 winners I think about 6 were family childcare. I did notice a huge trend towards degrees some even had a masters. I would say if you are under 50 and do not have a degree in early childhood education you need to get working on it. The trend does seem to be going that way I think the application is posted in June each year.

They flew us all in to Philly and paid for 2 nights at the Desmond . We had make up done and pictures taken WOW we all looked great. Great speakers also. I really liked Hedda Sharapan from Mr. Rogers LOVED her/

Missouri had 4 winners including the top winner and one of the top 10 and yes there was a family childcare provider in the top 10 not sure from where. ILL I think
If you go on the web site I think the picture of the class of 2013 is now posted. WHY did I wear bright pink??? IN the sea of lots of black and younger ladies a large lady in bright pink with grey hair really stands out. LOL

Just checked they have a stupid picture up and I am not pointing myself out in that one with the hats/ LOL I look very bad.

Glad you enjoyed the trip. I HATED that hat picture too! They will send you a link to all the pictures (there will be a lot) that the photographer took once he gets done editing.

I viewed the photos and do NOT see any large women with gray hair!

I only see beautiful smiling faces and ladies who all look thrilled and proud to be there!
