Grilled or a secret ingredient (ketchup for my kids!):: I'll throw any sandwich in a pan and toast it up a bit and my under 2 crowd love it. currently grilled pb&j or grilled tuna with humus are the favorites.

When it gets hot I lovethis sandwiches, or the "lunchables" Angelsj said.

In the summer I do sandwiches on bread every Monday and some sort of wrap or roll-up another day of the week.

If my son had it his way he'd have pb&j every day for every meal . I have one lunch a week that's pick your own. I give them three choices and whatever they pick I fix. Other than that I see nothing wrong with sandwiches any day of the week or every day for lunch as long as its not the same kind and you offer a fruit or veggie on the side

In the summer, we do tons of wraps/sandwiches/lunchable type meals. I hate having the oven on when it's hot, and I think summer is about picnics, being out in the sunshine and slicing watermelon, etc. We go on lots of outings so all my food is portable and prepped before we go, hence the wraps/sandwiches/lunchable stuff.

I probably do a sandwich 2 times per week in the winter and three times per week in the summer. I'll be honest and say that most of my kids prefer simpler foods for lunch and if I do other things will ask "can't we just have a pb&j?" So I stopped knocking myself out, and do simple lunches. I figure as long as they have all the components, are homemade etc. then it's good.

I serve sandwiches 1-2 times per week year round (more in the summer). I think sandwiches are an acceptable lunch menu item. I do turkey, ham, grilled cheese, PB&J etc... Sometimes I do wraps as well.

Here's a lunch menu I did last summer:
*Cold Club Sandwich on Toasted White Bread (Turkey, Ham, Mayo, Lettuce, Tomato, Cheddar Cheese, Bacon for older ones)
*Warm Meatball Subs (Meatballs-cut into 1/4s with sauce, Mozzerella Cheese)
*Cold Tuna Salad on Croissant (Tuna, mayo, celery, lettuce, pickle relish)
*Nutella & Jelly or PB&J on whole grain(no one with allergies)
*Shredded BBQ Chicken on a hamburger bun

Add fruits and veggies to each day. I always cut sandwiches in half or fourths. For the little ones I cut it them to bite size.
YUMMY!!! These sound awesome! Now I have some new ideas for lunch.happyface

Grilled cheese and tomato soup is a lunch favourite here. We do it twice a month. I also do make our own subs once a month. This week I don't have any sandwiches on the menu at all.
My group aren't great bread eaters with regular sandwiches.

I do sandwiches 1x a week...we head to library story time one day a week and by the time we get back, kids are starved and it is easy to have prepared before hand....
