My Day Is Going Better Than That...

I only have 2 dcks scheduled for today and one family texted this morning to say lil one is sick and won't be coming.

My day is going better than theirs.

Listening to the radio and watching the news this morning, there is a huge storm with high winds and freezing rain. My second dc family texted to say they'd be late because the roads are icy, power lines and trees are down...

My day is going better than theirs.

My oldest dd works for the hydro company and there are 150,000 homes without power in the area covered by her employer. And they won't have power until late tomorrow night or Sunday.

My day is going better than theirs. Saturday and Sunday too.

DD now has mandatory overtime tonight and she volunteered for Sunday. Tomorrow she is going to a wake for her boyfriend's family member.

My day is going so much better than so many others. I am grateful for today.

I always tell my kids, "For everything that is going wrong in your life at any given moment, there is always someone else who has it so much worse. Count your blessings!" Thanks for the reminder that I have so much to be grateful for!
