Additional Work Assignments for Your Helpers/Employees???

Hi,

I just hired a assistant 19yr old college student "she great so far" this is her first job. I pay her min-wage $7.25 she will get about 25 hours per-week.

Quick question-What/how would you pay her for the following:

1. Date night babysitting (my own four kids)
2. Training babysitting (my own four kids)
3. Help with converting garage to daycare room ( painting, decorating, shopping etc)

Would you ask her to set her own rate? Or pay the min-wage?

I'd pay her minimum wage still to keep it even and not confuse the business relationship. (ie she might spend longer painting if it's $10/hr vs cleaning toys at $7.25)

I'd pay the same rate you're paying- the $7.25/hour.

Same rate all around.

Except baby sitting your own 4 kids. I would pay average the going rate (maybe $10/hour)
