    Napping Questions

For those providers with mix age children, I was wondering if they use a separate room for napping and if you stay inside with them during the whole nap time?
Is it ok to have toddlers and SA (5 yrs old) together?

The lady I used to work for watched infants to school age. She had some older preschoolers and 1/2 day kinders during nap time and they would watch tv in the play room and the younger kids would be spread out in the rest of the house to nap, we never stayed in the room with them but would check up on them trough a window in the door every so often.

My pre-K kids (anyone 0-5+) sleep in one room for nap (except infants on a drastically-different nap schedule from the older kids). SA kids don't nap; they're in the farthest-away room from the nappers, with directions to "read, write, or draw" until the kids are asleep, and then they can branch out into other don't-need-my-assistance, quiet activities (making stuff, playing games, listening to audio stories, doing puzzles, etc.)

My 2 toddlers sleep in the playroom. My 3 1/2 yo sleeps on the sofa in the living room.

I have my pack n play kids (18 month max and younger) in the living room/dining room and the mat sleepers (12 month minimum and older) in the play room. I rotate between rooms. As the play room kids start waking up, they play quietly.

my pack n' play sleepers are all in separate bedrooms upstairs - anyone on mats are in one room - ages usually 2-4, sometimes a little younger or a little older.

I know some regulations don't allow sleeping on other floors, ours have no rules about it and I have baby monitors on each of them.

My PNP'ers are in a separate room - mostly because a lot of them take 2 naps daily and I want them in a separate quiet place for their am nap.

Everyone who is out of a PNP is in one room. Lights off, curtains drawn, fan on high, and books on CD playing. If they have trouble playing while on their mats, I will move their mat to the cozy corner, or sometimes to the room that the infants sleep in.

Thanks for the responses I wasn't sure if it was ok to have 3yr old dcg, 4 yr old dcb, 2yr old dcb and 5 yr old SA boy in the same room.
