    Indiana Student Assistants

I am just wondering if anyone knows the regulations for Indiana on students assisting with daycare? I have a 12 or 14 yr old girl in mind who would be a wonderful help to me in the afternoons, after school and during the summer. Would I have to pay her as an employee or could I pay her a set daily rate that is not considered employee wages? In other words, could I get around all the employee requirements and taxes if she is only 12 or 14? Or would she have to be considered as if she's a child enrolled in the daycare?

Does anyone know the regulations for this? I tried to find it in the licensing regulations, but I still don't know how it would work on whether she could be my helper or not. She is 13 yrs old. Would I have to enroll her as if she was a child in the daycare? What are the employment laws on this?
