I bill before, on the first of the month.
If they miss a day, there are no refunds.
If I am sick and close I credit the daily rate to their next month's tuition.
If I am taking vacation that is unpaid it's subtracted at the weekly rate from their tuition.- Flag

ALWAYS before. I would never do after. I've run into some batpoop crazy people out there ...
I also require their final two weeks of care to be given to me before they start as a "deposit." If they provide me with a written 2 week notice, it is then applied to their final 2 weeks of care.- Flag
