Under The Stairs Closets

I tried doing a search for this, but didn't come up with anything. What do you all do with that closet under your staircase? There's just a little closet, but with so many creative people on here, I know I could find a better use for it than just a jumbled up mess of toys or whatever needs to be out of the children's sight for whatever reason. I'm looking for a storage solution or any other creative uses for it. Pictures pictures pictures please!

Take out the closet and make it into bookshelves? I thin someone has a picture like that in the decor group!

Put a half door on it and turn it into a little play house! My cousin had one. I loved it!

I agree with turning it into a playhouse ... I've seen it somewhere before and LOVE it. Or it could be a little cozy reading nook.

The people we bought our house from turned ours into a half bathroom and I love it! I call it the Hobbit bathroom

I'm only 5'1.5 so I fit in there perfectly and we use it as the daycare potty.

My sorority house had a bathroom under the stairs!!

My daycare toys are stored under the basement steps, and we have a Hobbit bathroom under the upstairs steps.

My grandparents had storage under their upstairs steps - a long thin cupboard for card table/folding chairs and a cleaning closet.

Where are your stairs located? IMO what to do with them depends on where they are.

I wish we had a closet under the stairs! That's our basement door/stairs. What an awesome space for closed storage.

I use mine for nap mats and extra diapers/wipes/etc.

BUT, now I am gonna have to rethink it. First things first though, I GOTTA finish my backyard!

I just keep thinking of in "Daddy Daycare" where the one couple pointed to the outside basement doors and saying "Thats where we keep the children".

I see a person with space under the stairs doing that as a joke though-

Hmmm... A playhouse. I never thought of that! My closet is kind of under the stairs but not really. It is long and narrow but I would love to make it into a play space

I always want to just say I'm 5'2" but that's LYING bc I really, no joke, measure 5'1.5" every time! So since I just can't lie but just can not say 5'1" and let that 1/2 in. go I have to say 5'1.5" and look like a dork (that I am) ::
