Making a Time Sheet For Cleaning?

Hey everyone, it's been a long time since I have been on here..I hope everyone had a Blessed Easter!! Anyway I have been thinking about making some sort of a time sheet for keeping track of cleaning, and time doing dc stuff. Does anyone else do this? And if so did you find a template, or make it up on your own?

I have a planner where I write in the kids names and times that they get dropped off and picked up and next to it (on the actual date) I write down the cleaning or business thing that I did and the time that I started, the time that I stopped and the total amount of time spent on it.

I used to do it on a seperate calendar where I just printed off a 12 month calendar using a Word calendar wizard and I would write it all in there but for me it made it easier to keep it all together in one place, hence the planner.

I just input it into Minute Menu Kids and print it out for tax time. It has everything right there for my CPA.

I'm surprised. I thought you used MMK!

I get too lazy! I know I miss so much time%! MMK is great but it takes several clicks to get to that section. See? I told you, I am lazy!

After paying way too much in taxes....I need to come up with a better plan!

I do. At the end of the month I enter it into MMK. The planner is my "proof" in case I ever get audited. Simply showing an auditor a printout of the MMK stuff might not always fly (I've heard of times when it didn't) so I keep my official record in my planner and MMK is just to figure out my time/space% for deductions (in other words MMK does the calculations for me for tax time).

I enter things in daily right after the children lay down for nap. It's easy peasy and takes a couple of minutes!

I'm too lazy to input it at the time it happened but I keep a form I made under my attendance form or on the counter. I just mark things down as I do them and then enter them later, usually when I get around to doing receipts

Hopefully it attached right! I use excel for mine but saved this one as a pdf to post it, it changed the format a bit but its basically what I use.

Me too, except I record actual time spent twice a year, and use those figures for the rest of the months. I use MMK too, and enter the things I do all the time (cleaning, lesson plans, etc) by the month, based on my actual time sheets. It's not as much to enter as it would be if I did it daily or weekly, except I forget to do it at the end of the month and end up having to catch up at tax time. (I loathe tax season!!)
