    Easter Candy

How much have you confiscated today?

I've already thrown a plastic egg full of black jelly beans into the trash. I also found another baggie full of jelly beans in her jacket pocket. Said child would not even touch breakfast and she's one of my best eaters.

    None.

I don't allow any candy to be brought into my home and thankfully my parents respect that rule.

If they didn't I'd be checking pockets right at the door and in front of whoever was dropping off. Those jelly beans can be terrible choking hazards!

None here so far, however one DCF did give me (personally) some cookie treats for the kids and since they were the first clients of the day I was able to ask the other parent's for permission to make sure that I could give them all some. We are saving them for later and I didn't tell any of the DCK's that we had them (the family that brought them didn't even tell their kids what the paper bag had inside) so if even one family says no then I won't offer them at all.

I confiscated a snickers egg from a 2 year old. He was waving it at me proudly at 7 am! Mom was saying "if he goes poop in the potty..." and I cut her off with a nope, and asked her to please take the candy home with you.

This is directly after I sent home highlighted copies of my parent handbook FRIDAY because soooo many people were questioning/breaking policies.

I used to send home notices before every "candy" holiday letting them know if candy was brought to school I'd throw it away promptly. I also told the kids.
