We don't give any free or vacation days to families. And we take 5 paid vacation days (usually between Christmas and New Years).

I take 8 paid holidays and 5 paid vacation days and 5 unpaid. Last year I gave 5 free days to parents but it was a pain to keep track of. Also, I deserve a paid vacation that isn't a trade off. Still trying to decide what to do.

I take 15 paid vacation days (including holidays), and provide my clients with 5 days they can use unpaid after being enrolled for 6 months if they submit their vacation week to me in writing prior to. So, it ends up being that I'm closed for 10 paid days.

Only one family has used the vacation week so far.

Before I closed I didn't take any paid vacation days. But for families I would charge them half price for one weeks worth of vacation if they gave me two weeks notice.

I am closed with pay for a very few holidays. Will close for a one week vacation, unpaid. Parents can have 2 incriments of 1 week per calendar year unpaid if they give me a month's written notice.

Please do, or at least give yourself a paid vacation. You are worth it!

I think I take 10 paid holidays but I give families a week free of vacay. But they have to take it all at once and give me proper notice. I also take a week of vacation unpaid during the summer. I am going to be changing the policies soon to take out their week free though.

I take 11 paid holidays and 5 paid personal/sick days. Anything I take beyond that is unpaid. My families do not get any unpaid or half-price days.

I take 11 paid holiday days per year and any other days off for vacation or illness I take unpaid ...
That being said, I don't my clients any vacation days or sick days. If their child is absent for any reason they still pay.
This works for me because I usually only take 5 days off for vacation (in the summer) and I would give clients 5 unpaid vacation days which they would ALL use when I was on vacation (which I allowed) so either way they didn't pay for my vacation and they paid for all of the rest of the time that they were gone.
